How To Make Irmik Helvasi (Turkish Semolina Halva)?

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and sugar; mix until the sugar is gone. Get rid of the heat. Melt the butter in another pot, then stir in the nuts. For two minutes, cook.

When the semolina has been absorbed by the butter and the mixture starts to thicken and change color, add the semolina and whisk until the mixture is smooth. Semolina is added to the sugar and milk mixture by stirring. Take care to prevent the milk from boiling.

The mixture should be heated over low heat until it is 1-2 times higher than when you started, and the semolina is cooked to the desired texture. Get rid of the heat. The semolina saucepan should be covered and left for 10 to 15 minutes to infuse. Sprinkle roasted pine nuts on top before serving. Semolina halva can also be served with ice cream on the side.
